 NEC-IFES Conduct Two-Day Lessons Learnt Forum On VRU Exercise June 12th, 2014

The National Elections Commission (NEC), through its Monitoring and Evaluation Section has successfully concluded the conduct of a two-day Lessons Learnt Forum on the just ended Voter Roll Update Exercise.

The forum was held on May 29 and 30 in Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County.

The forum was attended by senior officials of the Commission, including Commissioners, heads of Departments and sections, elections magistrates, regional coordinators, among others.

During the forum, presentations were made on the challenges and lessons learnt from the VRU Exercise with the goal of using these experiences to improve on future projects of similar scope.

The presentations highlighted topical issues associated with the VRU Exercise including Procurement, VRU Field Staff Movement schedules, Civic, Voter Education, operations, etc.

The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) with financial support from the United States Agency for International Development or USAID provided support to the Lessons Learnt Forum.
