 NEC Appoints Nathan Garbie Head of Exhibition Taskforce March 21st, 2014

The National Elections Commission (NEC) has appointed Mr. Nathan Garbie as Chairman of the Taskforce to oversee the planning and conduct of the Exhibition of the Provisional Voter Roll of the country.

Mr. Garbie, who is Deputy Executive Director for Programs at the NEC, was appointed by the Executive Director of the National Elections Commission in consultation with the Chairman Jerome Korkoya.

In a Memorandum dated Thursday, March 20, 2014 NEC Executive-Director, C.A. Lamin Lighe, also appointed the Deputy Executive Director for Operations, Emma Togba, as Co-Chairperson of the Taskforce.

Members of the Taskforce include the Comptroller of the Commission, Thomas Duoe, Deputy Executive-Director for Administration, Dweh Doeyen and the Head of Special Projects, Ernest Kruah.

Other members of the Taskforce are the Chief of Internal Audit, Directors of sections and units, the head of the Legal Section and the Chief Hearing Officer of the Commission.

All commissioners along with the Executive-Director are Ex-Officio of the Taskforce.

Exhibition is the period for Claims and Objections to the Provisional Voter Registration Roll of the country. 


According to the Key Dates for the 2014 Special Senatorial Election, the Exhibition of the Provisional Voter Roll will run from April 28 to May 2, 2014.


Meanwhile, Mr. Garbie has promised to ensure that the Exhibition Process becomes a resounding success.
