(Thursday, June 16, 2016); The National Elections Commission (NEC) will on Friday, June 17, 2016 officially release the KEY DATES of the 2017 General Elections. The KEY DATES of the 2017 Elections track important dates throughout the election cycle, including Voter Registration, Issuance of Writ of Elections, Exhibition of Provisional Registration Roll, Release of Final Voter Registration Figures, Candidates Nomination, Publishing of Final List of Candidates, Political Campaign Period, Election Day and Announcement of Final Elections Results, among others. The release of the KEY DATES of the 2017 General Elections is part of efforts to engender public awareness and participation in all aspects of the electoral process.
