Elections & Referendum Results




                       MONROVIA, 22 February 2022, Wednesday, on 18 February 2022, the National Elections Commission, (NEC) presented to H.E. Ambassador Ren Yisheng of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China a concept paper and related documents, for the proposed construction of Annexes at the headquarters of the NEC on 9th and 10th Streets in Sinkor, in Monrovia.


The NEC Chairperson, Madam Davidetta Browne Lansanah, at the head of a 4-member Facility Management Team informed Chinese Ambassador Yisheng of the urgent need to adequately situate the Commission’s Departments, Sections, and Units, within a reasonable proximity to facilitate, planning, communication and coordination, and to strengthen teamwork and accountability.


Responding, Chinese Ambassador, Ren Yisheng lauded the efforts of NEC in conducting free, fair and credible elections in Liberia and assured he will review the Commission’s proposal for additional annexes on the Compound of the NEC. The NEC Boss received tag pins depicting the 15 counties of Liberia and those of China from Ambassador Yisheng.


The Commission expresses thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Dee Maxwell Kemeyan whose office arranged the Commission’s submission to the Chinese Ambassador near Monrovia.



Planning towards the 2023 General Elections

On 26 May, Board of Commissioners, (BOC) submits US$ 91, 958,557.72 Bubget for 2023 General Elections to the 54th  National Legislature of Liberia
