  TALLYING OF RESULTS PROGRESSES IN GRAND BASSA COUNTY SENATORIAL BY-ELECTION May 8th, 2013

Tallying of results of the Grand Bassa County Senatorial By-Election has begun at the local Elections Magisterial Office in Buchanan City.

The tallying process began Wednesday morning following a brief opening ceremony.

The Process is being observed by local and international observers, party and independent candidates’ agents as well as journalists.

To accelerate the Tallying process, the National Elections Commission has set up two teams of six persons each at the center.

Results from the 336 polling centers in the county are being sent to the Tally center where they are collated and placed on the walls of the magisterial office for public viewing.

Progressive results of the By-Election would be release late Wednesday Evening or early Thursday Morning.

A ceremony to announce the final results and certificate the winner of the By-Election will take place at the Fair Ground Unification Pavillion on Friday, May 10, 2013 in Buchanan City. 

The Senatorial By-Election is being conducted to replace Senator John Francis Whitfield who died in January this year.
