As of 13 October, 28 international organizations have been accredited to observe the elections.
According to Section 4.10 of the 1986 New Elections Law, a person representing an organization can be accredited by the National Elections Commission for the purpose of observing all electoral processes conducted by the Commission. Domestic and international organizations wishing to send observers should submit their applications for accreditation to the NEC no later than 2 weeks before the elections day. To apply, the international organization should submit: a) copy of proof of registration in the country of origin or instrument establishing the organization; b) the Declaration of Observer Organization (Form OB 002).
